Take two, Baby. This time, with feeling (and some sound).

I had heard earlier this month that a lion attacked a trainer at The Lion Habitat at MGM Grand.  Come to find out, a tourist was shooting video when it all took place!

The attack begins off camera.  It appears the male lion decided he’d had enough of the thinner trainer.  After the initial attack, the lion and trainer are separated only for the lion to go after him again a bit later in the video.

Here’s a thought – let’s stop thinking that putting a wild animal in an unnatural environment isn’t going to eventually piss it off.

It’s a surprise to many Las Vegas tourists that a large number of Las Vegas locals hate hanging out on The Strip.  We, of course, do not belong to that category of Las Vegans.  We like visiting the coolest street in the USA. . .but understand why many locals don’t share our enthusiasm.

As I was playing around with my iPod Touch, I stumbled upon Time Magazine’s iPod-based website.  The first article I found was a cover-piece about Las Vegas.  It was a very interesting article.  Here’s the link:

Along with the article, there was an associated video that followed a local real estate agent to two foreclosed properties, one of which was in Newport Lofts [recent blog post].  You’ve got to see this video.  Half of the units are empty, according to the real estate agent.  It’s startling what somebody was able to do at one of the lofts (change the locks?!?!).  They sneak into house later in the video to see the shape it’s in.  Here’s the video link:
