#161: No Gracias, We’d Prefer NOT to be Kidnapped
August 1, 2012
We cover the gamut on this laugh-filled episode of Living In Las Vegas. Scott and Melissa recount their trip to Cancun including a scary trip back to the airport. We get an update on Scott’s phone dilemma and more time saving probate tips. They also discuss today’s hotel fire at TI and a solution (well, sort of) to recent suicides off the Hoover Dam bypass bridge. And last but not least, does the live chat expose Scott as a terrible husband?

#153: A World Traveler’s View - Best/Worst 3 Things About Las Vegas
June 6, 2012
After agreeing that Pimpin’ Wayne provided the world’s greatest blender, aptly named Margaritaville, to the VVN international pool party this last weekend, special guest and U.K. Ambassador Neil Mitchell joins Scott on Living In Las Vegas this week. Neil shares why he and his wife Sarah have chosen Las Vegas as their holiday destination more than twenty times, followed by what he’d change so more folks would do the same.

78: YeeeeHaaaaw! I’m a Little Bit Country at Helldorado Days in Downtown Las Vegas
May 16, 2010
I’m pretty sure if it weren’t for that chewing tobacco thing, I’d have been a cowboy. Oh, and the cows. And that smell. And all that dirt and stuff. And sleeping in anything other than a kind-size bed.
But I digress.
Today’s Living in Las Vegas Podcast brings out our cowboy and cowgirl side as we ramble on down yonder to the Hellodaro Days celebration in downtown Las Vegas. Show notes:

Our good friends Neil and Sarah are coming to Las Vegas in a couple weeks to celebrate Sarah’s birthday. Only thing is, up until about a week ago, Sarah didn’t know anything about it. Neil asked us to shoot a video explaining how angry we were that Neil wouldn’t let us tell Sarah we knew about her Las Vegas trip. He added this video to the end/credits of a DVD he created for Sarah unveiling the big trip!
For those members of the Motion Picture Academy, we appreciate your support.

Longtime Living in Las Vegas Podcast friend Cheryl just told me about an amazing deal that Station Casinos is running right now. Called “My Vacation”, they have two great deals:
$125 for two nights, including a $100 credit for dining, bar, and lounges at all casinos except Green Valley Ranch and Red Rock. For those two properties, they are charging $250 for two nights, including $200 credit. And they added spa use for the $200 credit.
Here’s the link to their website.

Melissa and I have returned from seven beautiful days in Playa del Carmen, found about 30 or so miles south of Cancun. I got to tell you, there is something quite enjoyable about spending a week in an all-inclusive hotel drinking, eating, lounging, swimming and then drinking some more. (For those interested, we stayed at Valentin Imperial Maya.) Besides a nice tan, I brought home a new appreciation for the power of a great swim-up bar. (I’ve also confirmed that Melissa and Sarah can shooooooooooooooop. I mean really, how long can you look at a $8 wrap and not just decide ‘yes’ or ‘no’?!?)
Before our journey into vacationland, a request for the next Living in Las Vegas Listener Meetup came up during our live video podcast. Cheryl has done some recon and I’ll post the details tomorrow.
Until then, it’s great to be back!
